:: when comic meets comic

readers of the blog will know that i'm a fan of the news comedy duo of jon stewart and stephen colbert. i'm also a fan of comics, mainly superhero comics. corey, a frequent visitor and good friend, had a nice foray into the world of comic books while here in starkville (do you still keep that up? i thought it was cool.) and i made a trip down to the local comic book shop here in starkville with him once(admittedly, i went for the grand opening because there was free pizza and i was broke and could not fund a trip to taco bell). he's more of a green lantern fan, i'd probably be a bigger fan of batman/superman.

all that to say this :: i might soon own a copy of an upcoming spiderman comic. though not my favorite, i think i might have to make an exception in this case. why, you ask? because apparently stephen colbert will be teaming up the the webbed wonder in the next issue. you heard me right. stephen t. colbert and peter parker's arachnid-enhanced alter-ego will grace the same pages in comic book form. they even have pictures...




the story (which you can read here doesn't give too much information, but it doesn't need too. all it needs is that picture and i'm in. i don't know if this will be awesome or corny, but i'm intrigued to find out.
